Peak Smart

Designing a campaign system for a community-driven energy initiative

Project Details

Context
Peak Smart is an initiative by Yukon Energy designed to manage electricity demand during peak periods through connected devices used in homes, vehicles, and businesses. The program required a campaign that could translate a technical infrastructure into a clear and engaging message for the public.

Challenge
Make energy consumption — typically abstract and technical — understandable, relevant, and motivating, encouraging Yukoners to see participation as a shared community effort.

Approach
The direction focused on translating energy flow and collective participation into a clear visual system. Cyclic forms and layered elements were used to express continuity and connection, while structured layouts and iconography ensured clarity across communication materials. The system was designed to scale consistently across digital, print, and campaign touchpoints.
